Rigorous Training: Starting at age nine, Vaibhav and his father traveled 100 km from Samastipur to Patna every alternate day so he could train at Manish Ojha’s GenNex Cricket Academy. He would start training at 7:30 AM and return home only by sunset. 

Family Sacrifice: His father, S a n j i v S u r y a v a n s h i, was an aspiring cricketer who r e c o g n i z e d V a i b h a v’s talent when he was just four years old. To fund his son’s training, S a n j i v sold his farmland in M o t i p u r.

Hometown: Born in Tajpur village, Samastipur district, Bihar, into a humble farming family.
